Get the Running Shoes Out!!

Ok, so I'm not much of a runner, unless of course someone is shooting at me and even then just maybe! In all honestly though, I have baby pounds to shed and I am ready to get working on them. So every other day I try to walk to this huge rusty turtle. Its 3 miles round trip and its quite a workout for this out of shape girl.

On Saturdays Todd walks it or steals the kids bikes and comes with. It is a gorgeous time of year and its a plus that the snakes are hybernating.

If we are feeling adventurous we proceed past the rusty turtle to the rusty snake, which is about another 1/2 mile away. In all honesty we have only made it here once. I love that my boys love the outdoors and Tanner even will walk the whole thing with me, its a great time to just talk to my hubby and kids.

I haven't had much of thumb sucking kiddos but this one will ditch the binki and just settle for the ol' thumb. She is quite the LOUD thumb sucker too.
I will hear jibber jabbering coming from Cali's room and I will walk in to see Carter in Cali's crib talking or playing with her.

Utah Visit

We did so much fun stuff I've had to chunk it into blog sections. We headed out to Utah the day after Christmas, and boy was it a winter welcome. 11 degrees when we pulled in and windy. Trent and Candice were nice enough to host us at their home and it was just so relaxing. The kids just played and played in my parents 1 acre backyard. When I asked them what they were doing they said they were on a wild turkey hunt. They stayed out there for hours.

Tanner made a snowman and when I looked outside he was pulling branches off my parents pear tree. I told him he couldn't do that and he said "mom the snowman needs arms." Just matter of fact I guess, sadly the snowman had to go it alone without arms.

Jason and Ellie drove down from Logan and the dads took them skiing at Alta. They had a blast, it was Tanners first time. Later Todd said that was his most favorite part of the trip.

On Sunday it was my cousin Kyles mission farewell. My Grandma Potter and my boys.

Grandma Potter holding Cali.

What handsome boys, more like partners in crime. They are lucky to have such nice cousins.

The Wii

Trent and Candice got the Wii for Christmas. It was way funner than I thought it would be. The boys got good at Bowling.

Boxing was the game of the night.

I love this go...fight.....kill face Justin is wearing.

Temple Square

We went to temple Square to see the Christmas lights. It was such a nice night.

I don't think Cali even knew we left the house, she slep the whole time. Iwould have to if I was all snuggly warm like that.

Afterwards we went to Village Inn for some hot chocolate, one of my boys favorite things to drink. It tastes better here where its cold, back in Tucson if its below 60 degrees we break it out.

Baby Buggies

We dressed Cali back up in her blessing dress and took some pictures in Grandma Carter antique baby buggies.

Girl Time

Candice, Kelsey, Stacy and I had some much needed girl time. We went over to the mall for some shopping and lunch. We found some great deals on shoes at Forever Young. All together we bought 10 yes 10 pairs of shoes.

Every girl needs a pair of red shoes.

Carter knew if he was good he would get to ride on the merry-go-round, one of his favorite things we do when we go to South Towne Mall.

We found the cutest boutique store, a little pricy but super cute. All in all it was a super fun day.

New Years Eve Party

Happy New Year!! We had a Rock Band new years eve party at Trents. It was a blast. We were all hoarse by the end of the night from all the singing. Rock Band is a must have, I'm putting it on my want list. The house was definately rockin' that night.

Carter and Jace rockin' it out on the guitars.

Heres Todds boy band.
Stacy and Garrett playing the wii.

The kids singing/sucking on the microphone. They didn't quite make it to the New Year and that was perfectly fine with me.

Arctic Circle

When I used to live in Utah, my Grandma and I would meet regularly at the Riverton Arctic Circle and visit while the kids played, it was only fitting that we have lunch there while we were in town.We met Tiffany and Trents families there and the kids had a ton of fun.

Tanner and Kinnedi.

Then we went back to my grandmas and had dessert and more visiting.

I feel really lucky that I have a grandma that is so interested in my family, and takes the time to know my kids.
