Ski Season

We bought season ski lift tickets at Copper Mountain this year.  We were living among the snow again and Todd was bound and determined that his boys learn to ski and his wife also.  Everyone passed me up this year.   Granted I went about 3 or 4 times and he took the boys like 13 times.
Getting hot cocoa before hitting the slopes was my favorite part of the day.  Forget the scary skiing with people whipping by...put me on the balcony with some hot cocoa and I'm good for the day. My idea of a dreamy ski day doesn't match that of my insistant husband that I learn to ski though.
To anyone else this picture looks strange, but to me it's also the sweetest part of skiing. Todd straps me into by ski boots, puts on my gloves, hat and helmet.  He takes good care of me on these trips. I know mostly it's because he wants me to come again and party because I am a big baby on the slopes.  I'm worse than the kids.
My nephew Jace sent me Flat Stanley to take to a cool place, it also happened to be the only day we brought the camera to the mountain.

It is truly gorgeous up on the moutain.  I hope to one day enjoy it more while on these flat sticks of death, but I know we will make some sweet memories.  Next year it will be Cali's turn to learn and I look forward to that!
