Homemade Granola Bars

So this granola bar recipe is the best ever, thanks Ruby! And, the best part is they are really healthy.

4 cups Oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup mini baking m&m's or I also use some baking andes mint pieces

Optional Ingredients you can add in:
peanut butter
flax seed
sunflower seeds

Directions: Mix all dry ingredients, add vanilla. Mix. Heat up honey so it is runny. Add in slowly while stirring. I use a kitchenaid that works well. If not at the end you may have to use your hands with a little pam spray on them.

Greese cookie sheet, dump onto cookie sheet and pat down then greese rolling pin and spread.

Bake at 325 degrees for 17-18 min. Cut them up right when they come out the same size as normal granola bars and put into a tupperware container.

You can also drizzle chocoate or peanut butter over the top after.

And then walaa! My kids and Todd get so excited when they get home and see more granola bars. Enjoy!
