Monsoons

July 1st is said to be the first day of monsoon season in Tucson Arizona. It could not have been estimated more acurately this year. Last night the thunder rolled. Todd and I sat on the back porch and watched the lighting and heard the heavens roar with thunder as I have never heard them do before. We were both a bit jumpy sitting out there. I was a bit scared, we came inside and Todd said "Jess you gotta be quiet your going to wake up the kids." The pictures below accurately show what we watched.

The amount of water that was dumped in such a short amount of time was phenomenal! We lived in Seattle where it rained tons but nothing compared to the great monsoons! They are neat to watch, I hope we can see another one as good as last nights.
