So this past weekend was our wards father-son camp out. Boy was I excited, I mean the kids were excited.
We had a motorhome in Salt Lake and sold it right before moving here. We used to camp in style with a fridge, comfy mattresses, microwave and nightly home baked cookies coming out of the oven. Tis no longer, from this point on we will be roughing it. We bought a new tent, sleeping bags, and cots for everyone. Todd has big plans for our family this summer.

These cots and sleeping bags are so comfy, I wanted to make sure my kids would sleep well so I tried them out before they left with a cat nap in the front room.

Here's Carter with his friend Tani.

So later that night they were playing Uno, when Todd had to run back to the car for something. When he got back he couldn't resist not scaring them. He went around the tent four times and snorted like a bear and pushed on the tent. He expected to hear some scream but he heard nothing. He called out "Tanner," to which Tanner started bauling and replies "Dad, is that you, I thought you were a bear." Todd felt bad, but if I know Todd he got a kick out of it.
As for Cali and I, we did some cleaning and I let her stay up late (sleep in my arms) and watch a chick flick with me. It was a much needed quiet evening and morning.

Poor Tanner. I can't believe he was so scared he couldn't even squeak out a scream. Sad thing is Tyler would've done the EXACT same thing!
Glad you got to chill with your girl. Fun times.
I must say I would have done it too.. but how sad.. I can't believe he didnt scream.. was carter in there too? O man I wish I could see it..
im so bad..lol
I'm glad Todd and the boys had fun. Poor little Tanner, I can't believe he didn't scream. I bet it was nice to have some quiet time for you.
Haaaa.....I can't resist just a little laugh...that's mean huh...what a cute cute boy. Hopefully Todd didn't scare him out of ever wanting to camp again.
Todd we think so much a like. See how memorable you made that camp out. Memories your kids will grow up remembering years from now. I think when Tanner has kids he will do the same thing and think back I had such a fun dad... even though at the time I was scared out of my mind. It's either that or you will be paying lots of money for counceling in the future.
